About

Agents are only as good as their tools.

A model is a brain with no hands. Tools — search, code, data, payments — are how an agent actually does anything. Yet there's no shared, trustworthy place to find and install them. Plinth is that place.

The thesis

Software had this problem once. Before package registries, every project vendored its dependencies by hand and hoped for the best. npm, crates, PyPI fixed it — a shared namespace, versioning, and a trust model. Agents are exactly where software was: re-wiring the same capabilities, with no registry and no provenance.

Plinth brings the package-registry model to MCP tools and settles the trust layer on Solana. Discover a capability, pin a version, verify the build, wire it in — one command, the same everywhere.

Principles

  • Capabilities should be installable. Not copy-pasted, not re-implemented per agent.
  • Trust is a read, not a promise. Integrity and provenance live on-chain, open to anyone.
  • Builders get paid. Publishers earn directly on every paid install, with no platform tax.
  • Least privilege by default. Tools only get the scopes they declare.
